What We Do

Gizmo Garden Fund distributes financial grants that empower teachers, librarians, and after-school leaders to carry out gender-balanced projects in computer coding, electronics, and robotics for Maine students in grades 6-12.   Surveys of students attending our own programs show that in order for boys and girls to feel an equal sense of belonging in technology, projects should be non-competitive and should allow for artistic expression.  In our experience, those goals can be accomplished without sacrificing technical depth.  To join the mailing list to receive the next Request for Proposals, contact grants@gizmogarden.org.
